My hardest job by far is that of a Mother! I have two boys who bring me joy every day ☀️

Why coaching

In 2024, I decided to pursue coaching accreditation after experiencing the power of coaching in my own life.

In 2021, I returned to work after my first maternity leave to my role as Head of Digital and Content, leading a large team through a period of significant organisational change. I was figuring out the intricate juggle of working and parenting with highs and lows along the way. Fast forward 1 year, and I was pregnant again, only to experience a devastating missed miscarriage that felt like it totally shook the ground beneath me. I felt strongly that in my vulnerability, I needed to share my personal experiences and continue to live and lead in the most authentic way I could.

Life continued to feel so fast-paced. I was struggling to catch my breath with everything happening at work and at home. At times, I felt in limbo, unable to react and respond to things in the way that I felt was truly 'me'. To help navigate some of the changes at work, my boss suggested I have 3 coaching sessions. In those 3 hours, I felt space like I hadn't in a long time. I felt a new sense of perspective - almost like I was able to zoom up and out of my body and look down at myself to work out how I needed to 'be' and what I needed to do, with clarity I hadn't had before. It stuck with me. When I went on maternity leave in August 2023, I started hatching a plan to do my own coaching training.
